  A. To qualify you'll need to have a valid trade license as required by local authorities. You must carry adequate liability insurance coverage and workers compensation coverage (when applicable).

  Q. How will customers find my company?  
 

A. There are two ways a prospective customer can find you.

 
 
  1. Directory listing- Customers select a category and zip code and we display your companies profile for matching task categories in your area. Membership level determines position ranking.

  2. Lead generating - Once a potential customer submits a project, we assign that lead to you. Once you receive the lead, you are required to contact the customer to discuss the scope of their project in further detail.

  Q. What is a Lead Generating service?  
 

A. Our Lead Generating program is a great way to connect your business with customers in need of your services and expertise. Homeowners submit their project information to us and we share that information with our members whose profile matches the project type and geographical location. Leads are sent via email, fax, or phone (emergency services only). Leads are priced according to estimated project cost and locations.

 
   
 
 
  Q. How will I receive leads?  
 

A. Receiving leads is simple and you may choose from any of the following delivery methods:

 
 
  1. E-mail
  2. Fax
  3. Phone (emergency services only)

    All leads will be listed in your control panel under "My Leads."

  Q. Is a lead fee assessed even if I am not awarded the project?

  Q. Can I dispute an invalid lead?  
 

A. Yes. Although we screen every lead, sometimes an invalid lead slips through. Leads that contain bad contact information, fictitious information, and/ or obscenities will be credited upon confirmation. Lead credits can be requested in your control panel. You must notify us within 3 days of receiving a fictitious lead.

 
   
 
 
  Q. Can I limit how many leads I receive?  
 

A. Yes. You have the option to stop receiving leads at any time. If you would like to stop receiving leads, simply log in to your control panel and deactivate your lead generating program. You may re-activate the service at any time.

 
   
 
 
  Q. How many members receive leads for each project?  
 

A. 1-800-FIXED-UP sends each lead to a maximum of 3 service providers. The number of service providers that receive leads is also dependent on the categories.

  Q. Why should I become a Premium member?  
 

A. Premium members appear to customers first in the directory listing. The key to any successful marketing strategy is to be seen and to be recognized as a professional. See complete details of our Premium membership.

 
   
 
 
  Q. Q. What is the difference between lead generator plan and directory listing plan?  
 

A. With the lead generator plan you will only receive targeted leads from potential customers matching your trade(s) and location preferences. There is a fee for each matched lead you receive. With a directory listing, potential customers can browse our listings and access your company's information (i.e. phone #, address, website, logo, business hours and company description). You will also be able to combine our directory listing service with our lead generator program to maximum your company's exposure.

  Q. How do I add money to my account?  
 

A. From your control panel, click on "My Money." Under the Lead Generator heading, click on the "Add Money" button.

 
   
 
 
  Q. How do I upgrade from Basic service to Premium service?  
 

A. Simply click on the "My Membership" tab in your control panel and select Premium.

 
   
 
 
  Q. Can I downgrade from Premium service to Basic service?  
 

A. This can only be done when your membership is due for renewal.

 
   
 
 
  Q. How do I change my directory listing payment option?  
 

A. From your control panel, click on "My Money." Under 'Directory Listing," click on "edit" and change your payment option. (Note: You may only upgrade from monthly to annual payment plan and once you upgrade, a new 1-yr subscription will take effect.)

 
   
 
 
  Q. How do I change my credit card information?  
 

A. From your control panel, click on "My Money." Scroll down to "credit card info" and click "edit." You will be allowed to input your new card information.

 
   
 
 
  Q. Can I suspend 1-800-FIXED-UP's lead generating service?  
 

A. In your control; panel move your mouse over "My Company" tab then select "Contact Info" at the bottom you will see your status for receiving leads, to change that status click on edit.

 
   
 
 
  Q. How can I determine when my membership will expire?  
 

A. Just click on the "My Money" tab from your control panel.

 
   
 
 
  Q. Will my membership renew automatically?  
 

A. Yes. To cancel your membership, you must notify us at least 10 days prior to your renewal date.
